Third Meet of My Life

I'm still making modest progress in swimming. Today's reality check took the form of a Utah Masters meet in Park City. I improved my 100 and 500 yard freestyle times, but just dogged the 200 yard free. Hey, two out of three ain't bad. At some point age will overtake any training benefits I'm achieving, but if I'm lucky that day is still a few years away.

At least you have the courage to try. I think that the fact that you keep trying speaks for its self. I don’t know if I would have the courage to do what you are doing with your swimming. I think that it is a sport you can enjoy for many years to come.

Thanks, Joe. I appreciate your encouragment. I sometimes think of courage as something other people have or something I once had. Nice to be reminded that it's still there even if I sometimes don't see it.
